After a morning of trouble shooting-and-missing students tech problems as they tried to submit their labs, I sat down for some lunch and found poetic inspiration.
What’s that? What you say? You can’t submit your lab report in the electronic way? Well let me help you, I’m here today.
I’m a teacher, a professor, I “know it all”, but when it comes to tech support I’m very small.
But listen up, I’ve got some advice, and if it works It’d be very nice. Turn off your computer and turn it on, and when it boots-up again your problems gone.
What’s that? It didn’t’ work? Well that makes me a pompous jerk.
But listen up, I’m sittin’ home, but I command you to use google chrome.
Chrome is a browser they tell me and its available to everyone for almost free. Chrome is good, chrome works well until it screws up your lab and makes life hell.
What’s that? What you say? Well I got more advice for you this day. There’s some stuff called paper, its made from tree, you can fold it and write for folks to see.
Years ago my old gramps told crazy stories of things called stamps. Ya seal up the envelope and stamp it too. Stamps these days are forever new.
They pick it from your box and I tell you, they don’t just pick-up they deliver too. In America the mail always comes through (or so they say), the day it doesn’t will be a dreadful day.
But fear not students, don’t dismay, your lab report will get to me in this way, leaving your computer problems far away.
I’m a teacher, a professor, I “know it all”. And if you believe that your brain is small.
But I can do tech support when its my call.
I so enjoy your missives and look forward to more
